Basement Key

Reference now has a key to the black fire doors which lead to the basement microforms storage area. The key is in a small apple bonbon tin on the top shelf of the non-paper supply cabinet. MM 6/30

Swipe card "key" to basement door

The lock on the door to the basement on the east side of the building (down the stairs from the staff lounge) has been replaced with a swipe card reader. RIS was given one swipe card for all to use. After consultation with desk staff, we put it in the same drawer at the Ref Desk where the Gov Docs key is kept - in the top drawer of the right under-desk cabinet. It is a card attached to a black coiled ring. (bl, 5/8)
