Ask a Librarian "Email" form not working. 12/19

An off campus user reported that the Ask a Librarian email form isn't working. I tested it from my desk PC and found that the form displays and can be completed but it won't send.  I submitted a request to WebHelp.   PJ  12/19, 10:30am

Updates about Reference service at ID (12/17, bwl)

Today is the first day of ref service from the lobby Info Desk. A couple of updates:

Phones: 5-0150 works as always, and staff in the Ref Office will pick it up.
5-0151 - I put on a "follow me" diversion, so when someone calls that number directly, it will ring at the Info Desk.

Login at the Info Desk: Until we hear otherwise from Systems,  we must log using the Info Desk password. You can find it in the blue notebook, on the "Opening the Desk" page. LibAnalytics is on the Info Desk desktop, but no IM for now.

I was the only person in the Ref. Dept. as of 9am Mon.  There have been several phone calls, so I opened the Ref. Desk rather than the Info Desk so I can answer our phone.  I alerted the Bldg. Monitors to send any Info Desk customers to the Ref. Desk for now.   PJ

I reported the cold temperatures to Robbie on Saturday and she attempted to increase the heat to no avail.

Robbie has noted the situation in the log and it will be reported first thing Monday morning.

Update: Ref. Desk phone. 12/2, 10:30am

Donna gave us a loaner phone for 5-0150, and said the #4 button isn't working properly. The old phone is sitting next to the new one. Telcom will give us a permanent replacement phone.

I reported a Ref. Desk phone problem to Donna Myrick - can't always pick up calls by pressing "4" at the desk.  And a caller reported to the Library Office that when they opted to speak to a Ref. Libn. in the phone tree they were told it is an invalid choice.
