From Linda Matson:
Due to changes at our security certificate vendor for our EZProxy server
beyond our control, for an unknown period of time, the first time users
connect to our electronic resources from off campus on a particular
computer, they may get challenged by a series of security warning messages.
Windows users who have run Windows Update since early November should
not have this problem. But Firefox and Chrome and probably other
browsers will exhibit a series of quite nasty messages until the user
insists they accept the exception.
There is nothing we can do about this. But once the user has accepted
the exception on a particular computer, they should not be challenged again.
Feel free to refer questions to dbhelp@library.umass.edu . We will be
placing explanatory notices on the Connections Problems web page, the
staff wiki page and the electronic resources blog. There is already a
message on the EZProxy login page.
